The academy delivers an in-house catering service to all our staff and students. The catering team, expertly led by Mr Rigby, ensures that fresh hot and cold food is served at regular times throughout the day. This includes breakfast before school, break, and lunch.
The academy now operates two dining areas, the main dining room and the Forget Me Not dining area. Breakfast is served from 8am in the main dining room and at break time, both dining areas offer a selection of hot and cold snacks and drinks. At lunch time the main dining room offers a choice of hot meals, jacket potatoes with a selection of filings, soup and a variety of freshly made salads and sandwiches. While the Forget Me Not dining area offers a selection of hot paninis, soup and a variety of freshly made salads and sandwiches. Both dining areas also offer a variety of cold drinks, fresh fruit, desserts, cakes and biscuits.
Lunch is served over three sittings in both dining areas.
The fresh food is prepared daily and we currently organise a 3 weekly meal plan to ensure variety and to encourage the students to try new food. As well as our regular meal plan we deliver some exciting theme days throughout the year.
Cashless catering
The dining area operates a cashless system and if you are entitled to a Free School Meal this will cover a meal deal: a hot or cold main meal, cake or fruit, and a drink. If your child needs to buy anything extra including at break time then this fund will need to be topped up by parents/carers on a regular basis.
