More about the GDST

The Belvedere Academy

Curriculum Overview

We have a broad curriculum offer with 28 A Levels and BTECs to choose from. This ensures that we are able to provide our students with a large breadth of subjects to suit each individual.

The curriculum is designed for students who will thrive in an educational environment where the rigours and demands of the different subjects are embraced and taught in a supportive manner without compromising the academic challenges of Sixth Form study.

As part of our Sixth Form curriculum we offer the Aspire Award and BE: Life Ready Personal Development programme to ensure you have a range of complimentary experiences and opportunities that run alongside your studies.

The Aspire Award consists of a wide range of activities and experiences that will develop your leadership skills, stretch academic progress and improve your wellbeing. These activities and opportunities take you above and beyond the standard curriculum and will make you stand out from the crowd as you take your next steps.

The BE:Life Ready programme offers you the opportunity to be prepared for adult life. It is a key part of ensuring our Sixth Form students have had the opportunity to develop key skills; gaining knowledge and understanding so that they are well rounded young people who are independent, confident and prepared for life after Belvedere.

Workshops include; Life Saving First Aid Workshop, Self Defense, Sexual Health and Relationships, Drugs and Alcohol, Personal Finance.

Our students love getting involved in all the activities we have to offer. Students will become well rounded young people who are independent, confident and will stand out from the crowd when applying for universities or apprenticeships.
