Belvedere offers two options for studying BTEC Health and Social.
The first qualification is called a National Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care. The second qualification is called a National Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care.
The National Extended Certificate is equivalent to one A Level. It would provide you with good knowledge and understanding of the Health Care professionals who work within this field and the skills required for different job roles. You will study an array of subjects including; Sociology, Psychology and Biology.
The National Foundation Diploma is equivalent to 1.5 A Levels. If you select this option you will study everything covered in the National Extended Certificate and you will be required to attend work experience on a weekly basis, here you will also complete a cadet programme in one of our Liverpool hospitals. It would give you the knowledge and understanding to ascertain whether you want to pursue a career in the Health, Social Care and Early Years field.
