The way we see the world is shaped by the media that we consume, and it impacts all aspects of life, from our mental health to our political beliefs, our opinions and even our identity. By studying Media, you will look behind the curtain and be able to appreciate the techniques used to communicate ideas in Media texts - ideas that can be interesting and educational at best, and extremely harmful at worst.
