COURSE CONTENT:

Sociology is the study of social life, social groups and societies. It is an exciting subject that involves studying a wide range of contemporary real life issues through which you will develop a critical understanding of society. You will explore and debate contemporary social issues so that you are able to challenge everyday understanding of social phenomena from a sociological perspective. You will develop a ‘sociological imagination’ in order to develop a more in-depth and critical understanding of the social world today.
